- I'm in my mid 40's entering middle age. I began studying National Karate in August of 2007, based on the Joon Rhee system of Tae Kwon Do. I was laid low by torn ACL's in December of 2007, November of 2008, and a re-tear in December of 2009. This is a journal of my journey from defeat in injury to victory over reconstruction, and on to earning my 1st Degree Black Belt.
